Happy Spring greetings! We hope that everyone had a nice holiday weekend, and that you are all enjoying the slow but steady advance of Spring. :) What with Michael's trip to the US and some scheduling problems on Linda's side, it has been quite a long time since our last Ráday Salon event -- but now, finally, we're back on track and ready for a new Salon evening.
This time around, we'll be shifting gears somewhat, and taking a short break from the Eyes on the Prize series to spend some time on women's issues. We've purposely left the topic fairly big and open ended -- given the broad diversity of our group, we can be sure of a wide-ranging discussion on issues facing women all over the world, both in terms of issues that are particularly important in certain regions and contexts, and issues that can be seen as universal. We'll have someone on hand to begin the discussion, but in keeping with the informal and participatory nature of the salon, everyone should feel welcome to contribute as much as possible to the conversation, and we are hoping to hear as many voices as possible. Please do invite anyone else you know who would be interested, and if you or anyone you know would like to make a more formal presentation, please be sure to let us know!
Watch the blog for links to related material, both in the next week and after the Salon. The blog has been fairly quiet in the last few weeks, but now that we're back up to speed, that will certainly change.
We look forward to seeing you all again next week!
