For those of you who may be interested, we are posting some information about a work project that we will be involved in on Monday, June 6th. Habitat for Humanity is an international non-profit organization that uses volunteer work to build houses for people in need. Habitat for Humanity's Hungary program (see their website) currently has several "builds" going on in Hungary, one of which is near Budapest at Dunavarsány. We will be at Dunavarsány on the 6th, ready to swing a hammer, paint walls, sweep floors, or whatever they may have need for.
If you are interested in joining us for the build, please check out the announcement: (Word document).
We will be volunteering with a group of people from several countries who will be in Budapest for a Regional Meeting of Quakers. The flyer also contains information about a separate talk on Saturday, June 4th, about the history/traditions of Quakers, which will be given by one of the Meeting attendees from Oxford.
